The past 6 months at Zeta
EPM New Website Launch
In August we launched our new website for our parent brand, Electropages Media! Our very talented designers have been working on the project for several months and we are very proud of what they have produced. This was an important and essential development for our growing business to group our brands under one name, conceptualising our vision in one place.
We loved the first stage of our office refurb, unit 3 is looking grand. Now we are keen to continue the program and kit out unit 1 with the same look. This too has been in planning for several months, liaising with our interior designers and chatting to the team to ensure the fit works out for everyone. We are really excited to be treating our staff and clients to a modern innovative working environment and feel it is important to give back for their loyalty to us and our business.
Matts 10th Anniversary
Talking of loyalty, Matt, our Marketing Manager, reached his 10 year anniversary at Zeta this September! This is a huge achievement for Matt and is a great example of our staff retention rate. Matt is a highly valued member of the team and has made a huge impact over the years he has been with us. We know that Matt has a lot more to offer, he is relentless in the continued development of his knowledge and expertise. His will continue to be a critical role as our expansion gathers momentum.
We are not only growing offices but people too! We have had several new recruits over the past 6 months, beginning with Winona our new Mouser designer. Winona has been very busy with her time, having already visited Munich to liaise with our Mouser team there and then greeted them when they came over to Poole. And we have Dennis and Hamish on board both joining the Mouser development team.
We have also welcomed two work experience students, Anna and Dot, who helped various teams which gave them an insight into the full agency experience. Plus, we have Milly, a Marketing Placement from Bournemouth University. It's been lovely to have them around.
We love a team day at Zeta and we sure picked some good ones these past couple months. Our most recent day was the trip to play Polo, what a fantastic team building experience, especially when you consider none of us had ridden a horse before! We do like to throw ourselves in at the deep end here at Zeta.
The Team Day before the horseback happening was a Combat Archery event. All those potential Robin and Robinetta Hoods running around with bows and arrows really brought out the competitive nature of some of our Zeta staff (not naming names!) And it was very testing for our agility and precision too. We loved the day, it was a great opportunity to learn something new and it was exciting.
Formula Pi is something that a few of our hardware lovers have been getting involved with on a weekly basis. They created their own small racing cars to enter into competition each week. We have three teams and two have made it into the final. So the best of luck to both teams, we have our fingers crossed that one of you will be victorious.
Pick Pack Ship
One project we have been working on for our parent company Mouser is the 'Pick, Pack, Ship' game. It's been fascinating creating the game and a heap of fun playing it.
Spin to Win
Another game! Mouser asked us to build the Spin to Win game for presentation at Electronica in Munich this coming November. We have been posting regular updates on Instagram of its progression.
Visiting Winchester Science Centre and Planetarium
Supporting clients is a fundamental commitment to us. With this in mind our Marketing Manager Matt accompanied by Ryan went along to support the Winchester Science Centre & Planetarium at the launch of their new ‘Explorer:Space’ adventure during July. Explorer:Space is an immersive space experience that will take families on an epic adventure through the universe. We are thrilled to be part of this wonderful project.
Electromaker Hangouts event
In April we launched one of our fellow subsidiary companies, Electromaker’s, first ever ‘Hangout event’ in Poole. This was an opportunity for makers and our team to show off their projects and generally, hang out! We really enjoyed creating a space for our users to come together and bond over their shared love of making.
Over the years we have justly been able to style Zeta as an award-winning company and that accolade now extends further with EPM winning the Rose Gold Muse award for our interactive ‘Unity’ game. The momentum remains with EPM now reaching the finals of the Wire Hive ‘Fastest Growth Category’.
