Tharsus Group
Website & search campaign
Requirements
Tharsus Group's structure presented us with a rare challenge. The group is actually made up of three sister companies: Engineering, Vision and Direct. Our task was to create a site for each company. The sites needed to have a strong identity of their own, while also being incorporated into the overall Tharsus brand. In addition, we needed to ensure that specific key phrases achieved page one search rankings for the Engineering and Vision sites.
Analyse
Poole's a great place to work - but we're not averse to getting out the office, either. We visited each division to gain a feel for its individual qualities and how it fit into the wider group. Additionally, we undertook extensive research of competitors' sites and analysed the target audience of the three sectors.
Plan
Intricate planning was needed to ensure we hit the targets for the three divisions as well as the overall business. This included detailed key phrase research, IA diagrams and product specifications for each sister site.
Create
This is where our exhaustive planning paid off. The trio of sister sites all fell under the Tharsus umbrella but retained an aesthetic of their own. As a result, the online identity of each sector and the wider group was reinforced significantly.
Promote
The promotion of the Engineering and Vision sites was based around organic marketing. We went to great lengths to ensure that each site was optimised to target the most relevant industry phrases.
Optimise
We reviewed the optimisation of the sites to ensure that they continued to perform well in search engines. As a result, 31 of the engineering division’s key phrases now rank on page one of Google.
