Maxatec Europe
Website, search & newsletter
Requirements
Maxatec presented a great opportunity to demonstrate our confidence working in specialist markets. The client, a POS supplier with 35 years' experience in the sector, came to us with a website that provided a strong foundation on which to build a new online strategy. Our main focus was on re-coding the site. This improved its search engine visibility which, in turn, increased traffic and market share. Since we first started working with Maxatec, organic traffic has increased by 82%.
Analyse
We began by taking a look at the navigation, meta data and calls to action. We also analysed competitors' offerings. Maxatec's site proved to be well constructed but was in need of optimisation for specific keywords.
Plan
We identified 141 phrases that offered high search volumes. We then had to ensure that all keywords complemented the site's content and Maxatec's core values. So we assigned relevant key phrases to each page, while also planning the typical route taken by visitors. This allowed us to include calls to action at every stage.
Create
We improved the navigation to make it search engine-friendly and increased the number of calls to action. An e-newsletter served to welcome new customers and improve users' engagement with the brand. It increased the average time spent on-site by 23%.
Promote
Our strategy wasn't just about the structure of the new site. It also included content development and press release promotion. As a result, 78% of Maxatec's key phrases now appear on page one of Google.
Optimise
After a strategy has had time to bed in, there are always ways to increase its success. We reviewed our approach after two months. This allowed us to improve the promotion of key phrases and optimise the distribution of Maxatec's press releases. The first press release we distributed for the company has been read by 1600 people to date.
