Cloud Computing will be marketed as software as a service (SaaS)(you pay for the Cloud service offerings you want). Privacy will be in the hands of every user. You get to choose what is stored remotely and what you copy to store on your web enabled devices or other storage media. If you loose your little Cloud Computing web client PC, you also have your chosen back-up data in the Cloud. I'm ready to put my head in the Cloud. Regards, Ronnie L. 02202010

Hi Michael,

In fact, if you were using traditional software and your laptop was stolen you would lose not only your software but all your work as well.

When using apps like Google Docs everything is stored "in the cloud" so if you lose your laptop, or just leave it at home, you can still access all your work from any web-enabled device.

That means I can access all my data at home, at work or on my iPhone.

"if your computer breaks or your laptop is stolen, you won’t lose any data" - certainly, if either eventuality occured to me, I might not lose my software thanks to this so-called clud computing idea, but as someone who as a professional writer and motoring journalist, to lose my written material would be an irreplaceable loss, so I do not see that "cloud computing" is a sensible idea.

Yours sincerely, Michael Scarlett, Oxford
