BlackBerry were launching the new Q10 device at a live Vodafone event and they wanted to encourage customer interaction at the event. If successful this could be rolled out to more events in the UK. They wanted an app which utilised the BlackBerry's hub to familiarise current and potential new users with the design.
What we did
Adhering to the Summer Fete theme that Vodafone had chosen, Zeta and Ambition created 'Hook a Duck'. The Native app included specific BlackBerry design elements, such as the Hub and icons. After the success of the first app Zeta then worked on the next event app which was a more visual and technically advanced version of the first game.
The apps helped BlackBerry distribute all allocated merchandise at each event. They created a buzz and always had a crowd waiting to have a go. Their use was extended further than the initial plan because of their effectiveness. Each project had a very tight deadline and were all delivered on time.
